Getting started with Arize AI

  1. Run the setup command from your project root (e.g. npx evals, uvx arize ax cli instrument, or ax instrument) to create your account and API key.
  2. Select which coding agent to use and choose whether to trace an existing app, a new starter app, or your coding agent.
  3. Add your LLM provider's API key, such as OPENAI_API_KEY, into your .env file.
  4. Run your app until the first trace arrives.
  5. Open your project to view trace details, examine each span tree, and check token counts, latency, and status.
