What it does

Claude Code is an agentic coding assistant that reads your codebase, edits files, and runs terminal commands. You provide instructions or bug reports in plain language, and it plans solutions, implements edits across multiple files, and executes tests or git operations. It is designed for developers working across terminal, IDE, desktop, and web environments.

  1. Multi surface developer integrations

Executes coding workflows directly inside terminal environments, IDE extensions for VS Code and JetBrains, a standalone desktop application, or a web browser. Enables you to review inline diffs, mention files, manage sessions, and run commands where you already work.

Use caseA developer opens a new tab in VS Code to review inline diffs, check conversation history, and verify code plans directly in their editor.
