Getting started with Claude
- Open Claude on the web at claude.ai, in the Claude Desktop app, or in the Claude mobile app.
- Select "Cowork" in the message box.
- Describe the task you want Claude to complete.
- Review Claude's approach, then let it run.
Tips
- If your message box does not show "Chat" and "Cowork" options, you have the new unified Claude experience and every conversation can take on a task automatically.
- Keep the desktop app open if your task uses local files, your browser, or your computer so Claude can reach them.
- To run a single task without memory, turn "Memory" off in the "+" menu before sending the first message.
